Who can log in to the system?
Current School of Music, Theatre & Dance students, faculty, and staff. Non-SMTD students enrolled in SMTD courses do not get access automatically; speak to your instructor if you need access.
I don't see very many room calendars on my homepage. Where are the calendars for the other spaces?
You can control which calendars are displayed on your homepage by changing your Preferences. Click on the Preferences link at the top of the window... scroll down to "Show the following spaces". Check the box next to the name of each space which you would like to view. To select all spaces in a building, click the "Select All" button at the beginning of each list.
Where are the Spaces and Items pop-up menus?
The Spaces and Items pop-up menus allow you to select a space or item to view. If you don't see them in the Change Calendar View box, click on the Preferences link at the top of the homepage. Scroll down to "Show the following menus on events calendars" and check the boxes next to Spaces and Items. Click Save Preferences at the top of the page, and when you return to the homepage, you will see the Spaces and Items menus.
How can I request a room reservation?
View the calendar for the room which you would like to reserve. Select the room from the Space pop-up menu located in the "Change Calendar View" section of the page. (rooms are grouped by building) If you don't see the menu, see Where are the Spaces and Items pop-up menus? After selecting the space, you may select the date, then click the Change View button to view the new calendar. Once the calendar page loads, you will be able to see the events already scheduled in that space.
Note: You can switch between Day, Month, or Year view by clicking the links in the Change Calendar View box.
Request a room reservation.
If you don't need to check the calendar for existing events before making your request... scroll down to the Request Event section of the Home Page.
Select a location from the menu and click Create Event, then enter the event information as in step 2 above.
By Event Type
Select an event type and you will be taken to the Create Event page where you can select from a list of locations where that type of event may be scheduled.
How can I book a repeating event?
Only faculty and staff members are authorized to book repeating events.
To request a repeating event (for a class or weekly meeting for example) type a note in the description field describing at what interval and until what date you would like the event to repeat. Please note: Setting an end date which is three weeks after the start date with start time of 1pm and end time of 2pm will NOT result in a one hour event which repeats for three weeks, but will request a single event which starts at 1pm and ends at 2pm three weeks later!
How can I request an event that ends at midnight?
Set the End Time to 12:00 AM and the End Date to the day after your Start Date. To request an event from 10pm - midnight on Oct. 4, you would set the start and end times as follows:
Start Date: October 4 2006
End Date: October 5 2006
Start Time: 10:00 PM
End Time: 12:00 AM
